  • 12 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
  • 2 heads broccoli, florets only

  • 1/2 cup craisins
  • 1/2 cup toasted slivered almonds

  1. Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil.

Ingredients Salad:

  • 1 bunch spinach, rinsed
  • 10 large strawberries, sliced

Ingredients Dressing:

  • 2 large strawberries
  • 1/4 cup sliced red onions
  • 1/4 cup toasted, sliced almonds
  • 1/2 cup white sugar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/3 cup white wine vinegar
  • 1/2 cup olive oil
  • 1 tbsp poppy seeds


  1. In a large bowl, combine spinach and strawberries.
  2. In a blender, blend strawberries, sugar, salt, vinegar, and oil until smooth.
  3. Add the poppy seeds and mix well. Pour dressing over the spinach and strawberries.
  4. Toss to coat.
  5. Optional: Top with feta, provolone, or parmesan cheeses.

  • Salt and freshly ground pepper
  • Parmesan cheese, shaved


  1. Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil.
